Small amount of clear alcohol for painting
Cool boiled water (for gluing things together)
Skewer / paper lolly stick (for head Support)
Step one - Body
Take 100g of green modelling paste and roll into a teardrop shape.

Roll the pointed end of the teardrop gently between your fingers to lengthen and create the tail.

Taper the top of the body to form the neck as shown. Lie the body on it's side and gently curl the tail up as shown.

Take 8g of flesh coloured modelling paste, roll out to a thickness of around 1 mm. Take a sharp knife and trim to the shape shown. (it should be long enough to fit from the neck of the dinosaur to the tail). Put the trimmings to one side for use later. Take the veining end of the Dresden tool and gently score lines across the paste as shown.

Wet the back of the flesh paste with a small amount of water and stick into place as shown. Gently rub your finger along the edge to smooth the edge of the paste.

Step Two - Head
Take 50g of green modelling paste roll into a ball. Then roll the top of the ball gently backwards and forwards between your finger and thumb to narrow the top of the head, as shown.

Gently press your finger across the paste as shown to indent where the eyes will sit, and form the shape of the face.

Use the veining end of the Dresden tool to gently score the smile as shown.

Use a small balling tool to gently indent the corners of the mouth as shown.

Use a large balling tool to gently mark two shallow eye sockets as shown.

Roll two tiny balls and stick them into place as shown. Use the small balling tool to gently create the nostrils as shown.

Roll two small white ovals, two tiny blue balls and two teeny black balls from modelling paste. Gently flatten each one with your finger. Stick them into place as shown.
Take two tiny balls of green modelling paste, roll them into two sausages tapered at each end. Gently bend them as shown to create the eyelids.

Stick the eyes into place first, then stick the eyelids into place. Lastly roll four tiny white balls and stick two on each pupil as shown.

Step Three - Legs
Take 35g of green modelling paste and divide equally into two. Roll each piece into a short teardrop. Narrow slightly at one end by rolling the paste between your thumb and finger to create the foot. Bend the foot up.Push out the heel and smooth with your fingers. Again roll the paste between your thumb and finger to narrow the ankle and lengthen the leg slightly as shown.

Use the large end of the balling tool to gently indent the sole of each foot as shown.

Use your finger to gently flatten the inside of each thigh.

Stick the legs into place as shown. Use the remaining flesh paste to roll two small balls of paste for the soles of the feet and stick into place.

Step Four - Arms
Take 10g of green modelling paste and divide equally into two. Roll each piece into a short teardrop. Narrow slightly at one end by rolling the paste between your thumb and finger to create the hand. Gently flatten and smooth the hand with your fingertips. Again roll the paste between your thumb and finger to narrow the wrist and lengthen the arm as shown. Cut out a small triangle to create the thumb as shown.

Remember to cut the thumbs on opposite sides so that you have a left and right hand.

Stick the arms into place as shown. Gently twist and push a skewer / paper lolly stick down into the neck of the Dino.

Step Five - Details
Use the small balling tool to gently indent a pattern of shallow holes on the face and body. Try to make them different sizes.

Take 1g of dark green modelling paste and roll tiny balls to fill in the holes you have created. Stick them into place with a tiny amount of water.

Mix a small amount of flesh coloured gel and a small amount of green coloured gel with two drops of clear alcohol.

Start with the flesh coloured paint and shade the under side and feet of the Dino as shown. You can remove any excess colour with a clean paintbrush and some alcohol.

Carefully paint the groove you scored for the mouth.

Use the green paint to shade around the legs, arms, tail and body of the dinosaur as shown.

Congratulations your Dino is now complete.

Try making a baby Dino by following the same steps just with less paste! I used less than 15g of paste to make this baby!
